Remove SIM-lock patch generator

Hello...
So, here is my problem. I'm trying to unlock k510i, but after patching, phone won't turn on any more. Only solution for that is to flash it again, which I did, several times (yes, I tried applying patch, 4 to 5 times). While flashing, phone is off all the time, battery in and out as needed, patch is from the same main file, in program I selected k510...
CID is 49 and firmware R4EA031.
Any suggestions?

for simple understanding, copy the MAIN file to qamaker folder. now drag the main file over the qamaker.exe, a file will be generated, that is the quck access patch

First of all this tool isn't fake, just because doesn't work with w610 MAIN. Like I said in first post, it is in beta stage, and may contain bugs. Please post the log(there is a log.txt file along with SIMLockPachGen.exe)...

By the way at the moment you can apply patches to DB2010 CID49 platform only.

B. How to apply the generated patches to DB2020 CID52 phones:

I. We will apply the quick access patch to phone. It is needed to be able to use the quick access method in future. Due to this great patch you can easily apply the further patches, just like to DB2010 CID 49 phones.
!!!YOU NEED TO DO THIS ONLY ONCE!!!

With SETool2 Lite v1.11.
1. Select your phone model.
2. In Windows Explorer drag (Windows drag and drop operation) the MAIN firmware (*.mbn) onto [SETool2 Lite v1.11 folder]\qamaker\qamaker.exe's icon. In the qamaker's folder you will get a quick_access_XXXX_XXXXXXX.vkp file.
3. Click on ... (three dots) button near MISC files box, and select the vkp file generated in step 2.
4. Tick Bypass DB2020 security check box.
5. Click on Add button and select the MAIN firmware file.
6. Press FLASH button.
7. Follow the instructions given by SETool2 Lite.
8. When a dialog pop-up, click "Yes" to remove the patch. Click "No" to add the patch. In this case click on "No" button.

Note: After pressed the FLASH button, at one moment you will believe that nothing happens and the status windows is not changing! DO NOT remove the CABLE! Wait until "ELAPSED x SECONDS" appears in status window.
This process will take some time, about 10-15 minutes or a little more...

I have successfully unlocked my phone thanx to this but I now have a question which I need answered to help a new member of this forum.

When I did it, for this step, I used the same MAIN version as the one which was originally on my phone.
What I want to know is, what would happen if you used some other MAIN? Would it actually replace the old main with this new one, and apply the QA patch at the same time?

So for instance if I had R1CF001 on my phone, and I used R1ED001 main for this step, would the new firmware on the phone be the R1ED001 with the QA patch installed. If so, the next step would be: apply the unlock patch, flash FS and CUSTOM to match the new MAIN?

what should i do.

1. Your FS firmware must match the MAN firmware (R1GB001 for example)
2. Your cust pack must be matching the FS firmware (EU_5 for example)

If you mix up FS/cust pack you will probably get config error, check if you put the correct cust. pack in.

what is the FS you are using? provide it and we can give the correct custpack to solve your configuration error

the current firmware is R1JC002_VFE_LIVE2.

I used K800_R1JC002_MAIN_VODAFONE_WI_RED52 &
K800_R1JC002_FS_VFE_LIVE_2_RED52.

what should i do? should i reflash the main and fs then do the whole proceedure again?

hey guys

i did it. the reason why the config error appeared was because i took the enitre tpa file from custpack and loaded it via xs under tpa/preset/custom.

i extracted the contents from the custom folder of custpack and loaded it that way and it works perfect.

i guess being a newbie it is trial and error until you get it right.

all i can say is simox is a genius. if you need to unlock your phone just use the tools he recomends and it will work just fine.
