Ive just searched the site and have downloaded W850_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52.mbn


I also found a comment from yourself Unlocking W850i [Firmware Version: R1ED001] - Top Sony Forums

"My advice is, DO NOT use the W850_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52.mbn, because it is corrupted, and you will brick your phone. Here is a thread about this problem: SIMLockPatchGen Error!!

Does that also apply to me which one should I use?

Also I wondering if I could make my own from my phone as it is on 3 ntwork(uk) with all the settings for planet3 site(checks talk time I have left)

Don't know if that firmware was corrected. Try to generate an unlock patch with SIMLockPatchGen.exe, and if you get that Firmware extraction failed! error, then it is corrupted. If it is corrupted then use the W850_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52.mbn.

It has unlocked all networks and nothing seems to have changed, I still have my 3 theme and planet 3 settings.

xs++ 3.1 doesn't give me the choice to execute the vkp patch!:(
I have a v800, db2000, cid36.
Can someone help me PLZ?

seems like the patch gen did its job (thank god!)

but im having trouble applying with setool2 lite. i was using v1.10 because when i upgrade to v1.11 my computer says it is virus

can i use xs++ 3.1 to do the same job? this is much easier for me as i am more experienced with it

In 1.11 version haven't any virus - false alarm,so just turn off your anti-virus and apply patch with Setool2lite .Look here setool2lite v1.11 Trojan horse - Top Sony Forums
You can't patch with XS++ for now,maybe one day
