Unlocking K800i on 3-UK

hi all,
first post, YAY.
anyway, to the point.

Can i unlock a k800i with the 3-uk firmware, as retail, on the phone. So that it will work with every sim/USIM i throw at it?
Ive got XS++ workin with it and have made a few adjustments (menu, media player skin, etc.) but i don't want to completely flash the phone because i want to be able to use planet3 and the free MSN messenger that 3 provides.
I have a friend who works for Sony Ericsson and he said that 3 uses security certificates so thats why i don't want to completely flash it.

Please help me.

I also want to remove the Planet3 right softkey shortcut. I have tried the:
tpa/preset/system/custmenu/RIGHT_SOFTKEY_HOOK/RIGHT_SOFTKEY_HOOK.xml
AND softkey.png replacement route and that didnt work, it replaced the softkey.png but it still went to planet3.

I downloaded the latest version, downloaded K800i_CXC1250490_HUTCH_1_R1KG001_RED52_fs_enc.bin
(my firmware version and region (hutch_1)
TWICE (on different PCs)
and it doesn't recognize that as a valid firmware :(

i tried searching (on 4shared) for some pre-made patches and found and download one and tried using it in XS++ but it opens it put the button "execute patch".

The problem is that the firmware is encrypted... Download a normal(BABE) firmware, and it will work E.g. the MAIN firmware: K800_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52

By the way, XS++ cannot apply patches. Use SETool2 Lite v1.11 for e.g.

yeah. they're notorious for that,
they have their own region and i freefoned customer service and they said that its very special software......they all say that......
i know where all the securtiy cirtificates are and could i download them and put them in a non branded generic MAIN/FS and then would all of the msn and my3 stuff work?

also, can i convert my encrypted firmware i downloaded into babe?

No. You Cant Make *.mbn With Things You Want And Neither You Can Can Convert Encypted Files To BABE.:(

i can confirm simox' autopatcher does work cos i've used it to unlock 2 of my freind's phones!

and unlocking it for free.:D:D:D

and defeated the right_softkey_hook.xml (now leads to walkman[KDPlayer on mediaplayer icon in menu])
