So why you have to SHAKE? Just put the next button.
I'm pretty sure that the keypad will be locked after a while of standby. At that time to press the Wbutton you have to unlock it first. That's the reason. I used it when I was walking and it worked just fine. I think you might have some trouble if you... run :D
