you could also try using FAR manager and edit the customization.xml found in your mobile's File System folder under the directory \tpa\preset\custom by adding these lines before the </customization> tag:

   <camera>
      <suppress-camera-sound>true</suppress-camera-sound>
   </camera>

This enables camera's to supress the shutter sound when you switch to silent mode on your phone.

if you patch firmware with change_system_sounds patch you will able to set mp3 file as camerashutter.

mind if I ask which firmware did you use to enable the VKP patch to work? Those patches do not work for Asian firmware versions.
