That's not true! I have a W810i and when I set it to silent mode, my camera doesn't make any noise at all, even when I take a picture.

you have to debrand your phone to have the silent mode and no shutter sound thing working

or else, use FAR Manager and just delete the shuttersound.3gp files from the phone

Yes, I forgot to mention that also. You have to debrand your phone if the phone is not unlocked already.
