Dead w850i?

i bought a w850i off ebay...problem was...
Sony Ericsson W850i - Faulty (when powered up the phone flashes white & blank, by all accounts a common fault??) Otherwise in great condition with NO scratches or dents.
easy fix i thought i will just flash it!
i have fixed about 4 or 5 before and they worked...
but i flashed this one and its still doing the same thing.(flashing white then black when turned on)
any suggestions??

might slap it back on ebay.

hen u turn the phone on the screen flashes white then black then white, and so on
i thought by flashing the phone it would fix it but i was wrong this time

try to upgrade the EROM Upgrading or repairing the EROM (FOTA) in phones CID 49 or CID 51 with Phone XS - Top Sony Forums
otherwise i think its a hardware defect (or u flashed the wrong fs files :-) >but i dont think so )

If u have repair station (with hot air) rehot the board and flash it again with SE Tool 2 lite or XS++ 2.x.

tried flashing the EROM but still doing the same thing
(W850_RED_CID49_R3B015_EROM-FOTA_2006-04-26_08)
so failing that looks like its a hardware fault?
worth a try tho.
back on ebay it goes lol

Wait!!!!!!!!!!Maybe you have corrupted GDFS.Download a W850 GDFS from here,and if this does not work,SELL IT.But i think it will work.But the phone will be locked...But you can unlock it by a patch if there is one for 850...otherwise with a service cable...

doing that now. just hope i can find one

backed original GDFS up. but cant find another one in download section...could i use a GDFS from another phone? (or is that a no no)

but it doesn't work for me..
