yes branded firmware will have many restrictions usually and many crap things
and many stuff disabled
like vodafone branded w910 has shake feature disabled ... just find out what's not there in your phone
its really easy to debrand just flash in firmware using XS++ there are many guides out there for that .. !

in the standard unbranded firmware, the phone is faster, reception is no better, but branded firmware has many resrictions and the standard firmware doesn't
