    W300i Configuration Error

    Hey everybody...

I have a w300i and i recently had my phone turn off by itself only to switch it back on and get a "CONFIGURATION ERROR: Please contact..." yada yada screen. Now ive been to many forums...and nobody has been able to give me a clear cut instruction to restore my phone. Ive used SEUS and the update succeeded but it still doesnt work. I have downloaded XS++ but i dont know exactly what to do and what files to get...
Im a real newbie to all this...so yeah. Plz Help...Thank you.

These are the details i got from XS++

    16:05:45| Profiling SEMC phone...
    16:05:45| Platform: DB2010
    16:05:45| OTP CID: 49
    16:05:45| EROM CID: 49
    16:05:45| EROM Color: Red
    16:05:45| IMEI: 35424401xxxxxx
    16:05:45| Phone ID: W300
    16:05:45| Region: EUROPE_2
    16:05:45| CDA: CDA102665/11 R2A
    16:05:45| Firmware Version: R4EA031

    Thanks again...

Also...I cant take it to my network provider...caus that would be 2 cities away and itll cost me more to fix that way than to buy a new phone (which i dont have the money for). So help...anybody...lol.

For some reason your phone's firmware is corrupted.
The best(easy) way is to reflash your phone completely. So, for your phone you need the following files:
    1. MAIN firmware: W300_R9A036_MAIN_GENERIC_JE_RED49 (this is the latest here at TopSony)
    2. FS: W300_R9A036_FS_EUROPE_2_RED49
    3. Custom pack: Jing_Generic_CDA102665_11_R2A_Generic_Trade_EUROPE _2

Here are some tutorials for start: XS++ 2.x Guide, How to use phone sx or xs++

Well, it is not allowed to share files from download area...
But as always your best friend is Google. Search for these files, and you will find, because you can find almost anything using search engines. And you can try to search at http://www.4shared.com/ too, maybe you are lucky :D.

Yes, you can. The only difference between EUROPE_2 and AMERICA_2 FS is the different language support.

Ok well...I did that... I used the W300_R9A036_MAIN_GENERIC_JE_RED49
    along with the FS_AMERICA_2_RED49...
But i didnt use the Custom CDA...i used the EUROPE_2 one built into xs++ v3...

And I havent put my phone on yet...but it finished the first two files...and then some error occured.

and now when i plug my phone into XS++ all i get is this error...

    18:44:42| You have 30 seconds...
    18:44:42|
    18:44:45| Baseband ID: 8040
    18:44:45| Protocol Version: 3.1
    18:44:45|
    18:44:45| Sending db2010_cid00_prodid_p3l.bin...

aND it just hangs there...have i messed up my fone for good???

I backed up my GDFS before all that...
But now my phone wont connect to XS++

I tried putting the fone on but all i get now is a white screen...I believe they call it the White screen of Death...so yah...wat to do now?

First of all, use one of USB ports located in back of your computer, and disconnect any USB device from it. Now restart your computer, just to be sure. Remove the battery from your phone, and wait a couple minutes(you can press the power on button too, without battery in it). Now try again. If it doesn't works, try prior version of XS++
