Try to repeat the whole process I described earlier.
If will not work, use SeTool2 Lite: select your phone type, then click on Identify button and post the log here.

the battery just has to have enough charge for the flashing procedure, ie 10 minutes worth, altho its good practice to have it fully charged so the battery doesnt run out half way thru

Like TheRascal and docmagoo said, check somewhere if your battery has enough charge (at least 50%). If your battery is ok restore your GDFS backup: in SETool2 Lite select your Phone Type(W300), select your GDFS backup in MISC files box then click on Write GDFS button. And check if your phone get detected...

Look in windows in device manager if you have sonyericsson flash....
If yes your phone is in flash mode and your battery if ok, and problem if probably in flashing proces.

    hmmm this is bad...!!

try to flash Main again with XS++ .. but this time use a different Main version !
after Main is flashed then go for flash of FS

in many guides i have warned people to flash Customize phone after Flashing FS but no body reads carefully ... this is real bad !

Try to update the EROM with XS++: First you need the W300_RED_CID49_R3BA002_EROM-FOTA_2006-08-11_16 EROM file. When you connect the phone, press the 2 and 5 buttons in the same time(instead if C button). Now in Flash Main Firmware box select the EROM file and press the Flash button.

Now try to reflash your phone...
