That's because you didn't patch Widcomm ...try that and you will see that it will work.

Anyway, is there a similar procedure for doing this on a mac.

    Thanks
It works on vista tested a few days ago but you have to copy BTNeighborhood.dll & wbtapi.dll from WIN/system32 and patch them elsewhere after that enter in safe mod with comand prompt and in the cmd write: del BTNeighborhood.dll & del wbtapi.dll after that open task manager and run explorer.exe then copy your patched BTNeighborhood.dll & wbtapi.dll in WIN/system32, reboot in normal mode and your done ;)

Works with any phone that can connect to Bluetooth PAN (Personal Area Network), so if you have your pc as a data account in Settings/Connectivity/Data communication/Data accounts on your phone should work :)

Your router's IP address - the 192.168. part is correct mine has default of 192.168.62.1 ; and in the last part of the classC IP address is any from 1 to 254 (0 is reserved for network address, and 255 is also reserved). The IP address of the computer that you are linking through has to be in the same network address as the router. The NETWORK ADDRESS part is defined (hidden) by the mask so a mask of 255.255.255.0 would mean that in my case network address is 192.168.62.0, and last part from 1 to 254 is used by any router, computer, or print server on your network. I don't mean to over complicate just that the '1' in red above is not the only possibility.

On your phone go to Settings/Connectivity/Bluetooth/My Devices/New device, search for your PC, pair and then click More/Allow Connection/Always allow after this click Connect and in your Data Comunications you will find your PC name as a data account. Before doing this make sure you don't have any active internet profile in your internet settings and your bluetooth dongle works with Widcomm.

If you cant see Connect then try using some services from your bluetooth adaptor like for example dial-up networking from your PC for that account to appear. After doing all of this and still that account doesn't appear then it doesn't work with your phone, in 3 - 4 hours i will test it on that phone and tell you for sure if it works or not .

Later edit: Doesn't work :( i don't know what firmware version it had but doesn't work.
