did not receive 0x5a

i have a k790a from Rogers; i used Wotan long time ago to debrand it with R1GB001_RED49.

it started acting up; lost all text messages, getting corrupted messages and weird lines on the screen. i read that the new firmware fixed these problems.

I tried Wotan and it didn't work; i got a SEMCSEC 3 error.
Then tried SEUS and it's unble to detect my phone.
XS++ 3.1 gives me this: did not receive 0x5a. Continuing | Sorry, your phone is NOT SUPPORTED.

i hold 2&5 and the phone is detected; am i doing something wrong or there is something wrong with my phone???

Not receiving 0x5a could disapear when you try it again or with an other version from XS++. Cleaning your fastport with alcohol could work allso

thanks for the tip ... i cleaned the connector on the phone and now i get this message and it just sit there saying Port opened ok! at the bottom status bar:

i tried XS++ version 2.2 and same thing. tried both a few times.

am i supposed to click on check server? what's the ip, username/pass?

any help??? phone keeps on crashing and restarting on me now

may be check ur flash drivers,cable, and port of t phone. bec i used XS++3 beta i could enter into the phone successfuly. there no need of username and password.

my phone completely died yesterday; i sent it for repair under warrany ... i'll get it back in 2 to 3 weeks!

Remove battery and put again , then connect to XS.
