SEtool2

Have downloaded, used SEtool and so far just up to 6 hours into the flash.

I am starting to get worried, does it usually take so long?

I'm de-branding a w810i/CID50 with correct firmware.

Also, does flashing the custom file afterwards take this long?!? Hope not.

Ok, so it has completed now, it took ages ;)

Id still like to know if will take another 7+ hours to flash the custom pack, if anyone knows! x

Tried and you will see, but this is not normal. I have flashed my k800i and it took about half hour or less for everything ( main , filesystem and custom pack ) to flash.

it is scaring me slightly, the custom is going through the motions now...and it seems to be tasking ANOTHER 7 hours :( !!!

I'm sure I'll find out the result when I turn her on ;) Why am I still awake?

w810 CID50 fs customizing is not working correct with SETool2 Lite. try xs++ 3.1 ;)

Thankyou for that nugget of advice! The only reason I used SEtool was because of a tutorial based around it and CID50 w810 phones...:confused:

Anyway, I had to cancel the custom pack flash - 10 hours in! I switched on and it seems that the main/fs flash was fine as I can see a new shutdown screen as I exit the phone. I did obviously get the config error, so I will try XS++ for the final flash.

I was going to use XS++ but when I started the flash in it - the whole program quit on me *pop* goodbye.

The battery is now dead and needs charging, so I'll update when (hopefuly) I can finish the debrand.

with xs++3.1, use FSX browse to tpa/preset/custom, and ur custpack goes in there u were probley doing it wrong with setool2 lite, with setool2 lite u need 2 create the folders tpa/preset/custom then put ur custpack in custom folder zip it up so u get tpa.zip then with setool2 lite u put it in the MISC box and press flash.
