What you should try is Peter's R8 K800 v1 mod. It's meant for newer R8 firmware whereas V2 is meant for older R1 firmware. This is very important because these acoustics sound very different if they are not used within their respective firmware environments.

Yeup =) i agree. and by cx300 i'm assuming u meant sennheiser cx300 IEMs... i'd try his R8 V1 or the R1 HiFi version. I'll even give u a link :p
