    w580i complete backup before flashing?

    Hi, am wondering how to do a complete backup so after flashing I can return phone to original state if wanted.. Is it possible with cid52 db2020 ?????

    I think you can only backup the GDFS before flashing a new firmware. If there is a way to backup the whole original firmware, I wanna to know too. :)

    @dan
    yes its possible... the only things you need to back up are files and phonebook contacts!
    and before flashing you can back-up GDFS to using some softwares like XS++...

    @scimo
    I think back up of original firmware is not yet possible! not sure! but I think you can back up FS contents using XS++3.0...

    Thanks, but its not working. Getting a Script flash_mode execution error when I click on flash. I didn't see any w580i listed in the article...
    What start and reading addresses did you use for the memory size ???

    I used 44000000 - 02000000 address.
    make sure db2020_52 boot script is selected before Enter the matrix. instead k750_w800_CID36 on the tut.

    I tried Device:DCU-60 Speed:921600 Boot Script:db2020_52 and am having no luck... I can enter the matrix and get to the flash screen, but when I click on it I get that error message that I posted in the above post... Cannot get to the memory screen....
