I think you are out of luck. Have not tried with w580i, but I did with W810i. After de-branding I sort-of missed "Mobile email" and tried every way I could to get it back on the phone. You can find articles about it at att.com, and you can find what phones are supported and ways to get it to phone. All attempts failed, and I was never able to figure out how to get the package, presumably a jar file.

Moving right along, I re-branded the W810i and that got me the app of course, but never again did it push. I could configure and read and write, but push didn't happen. I did not spend the hours with CS griping about it because I really don't care to use the few mail sources that build supported.

What all you have going on here, I don't know for sure. What we do know is that the app itself is from Oz communications and they do the actual serving of the push messages which are actually free. I think you cannot expect any of this to work without an official Cingular/New AT&T firmware on the phone.

Now when I got a W580i, I debranded it and never looked back. Sure I have messed with Flurry and Morange, and I regularly use gmail java applet. But the very best mail tool I have seen is right there in the official firmware! That is none other than S/E mail tool! Got it all configured to work with gmail servers and the reward is real push mail! Greatest thing since sliced bread and you don't have to be on crack berry to enjoy!
