    w580 customize.xml shutter tone?

    hi all,
    I have a w580i and i recently debranded it using:
    W580_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52
    W580_R8BA024_FS_HONG_KONG_RED52
    HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_104_R8A_GENERIC_HONG_KONG

    and i still have a shutter tone!
    I've read from... here:
    HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource - America_2 custpack code
    that the shutter tone is controlled by a line from customize.xml, specifically:
    <camera>
    <suppress-camera-sound>true</suppress-camera-sound>
    </camera>
    so i pasted that into my customize.xml file, and it doesn't work... the phone still works fine.. but it still makes the noise...

    Does anybody know how to surpress it? maybe poste an example xml file from your w580 that has no tone?

    Thanks,
    K.

    lol, im not sure if im going about it the right way because i've read about other people getting it out via FAR manager or something (not sure how that works...) but i just download any custom packs (like here... CUSTOM PACKS eSnips Folder)
    then unzip it.... find the customize.xml.... edit it as needed... and then zip it back up (preserving the folder structure)... then i send it into my phone using setools2 lite or something allong those lines...

    hope this helps =)

    yea that's what i've been hearing too, but i had it suppressed! i debranded it and had it perfectly how i wanted (no shutter tone, mp3 ringtones, debranded, the works), then i had to send it in for service... when i got it back it was been rebranded... and now im trying to do it myself... with less luck...
