FREE W580i AT&T(USA) Unlocking

Hi can i ask you something?

I just bought a sony ericsson w580 from ebay. Its locked to at&t. However I use T-mobile.. If i call the at&t and aske them to unlock my cell phone, what do you thing, does it work?

Then how can i call at&t? when i called the at&t customer sevice they asked me my phone number? Whic number should i call ? do you have any idea?

Find a friend that uses AT&T that has been in a contract with them for more than 90 days. Have them call AT&T, have them give all their info with the IMEI number of the phone you wish to unlock. They don't keep track of that stuff, they just need this info to make sure you have a contract with them. If this friend gives them your email address you should have the unlock code with insturctions in a few days (if not hours)

I would imagine this would work. This is what I did when I bought a T-mobile phone off of ebay. Put my buddy's t-mobile sim in it, called them up and asked for an unlock. They got it to him, I unlocked it, and put an At&T sim in it: no charge.

you can't post the instructions. you are given a unique unlock code for only your phone.

i've done 4 with att. most of the time i get the code with 12 hours

ahh....I wish Rogers would do the same thing...I had to unlock the w580i by myself so I can use Fido
