FREE W580i AT&T(USA) Unlocking

is anybody know that for orange(france) we can do the same? because i want to unlock it.. but my phone is CID52 too..

I have tried with Rogers in Canada, they told me they don't do unlocking. and they don't have the codes. they told me to goto some third party to get it done.... Sad.... I guess no free way for users on the Rogers network....

ok, here is what i get out of technology. if there is a way to do some, there is a way to undo it. so if a provider tells you there is no way to unlock your phone, they are full of bad stuff. worst case contact SE and have them help you out.

I don't think at&t will give you unlock codes unless you are the original owner of the phone. Examples, if you buy a phone from ebay or someone and call them and ask for the unlock codes, they will not give them to you.

i just called my provider and they said they do that.. but i couldnt right now because they're updating so i'll call tomorrow..

just make sure you tell them that you're traveling internationally.. hahaha!!

Yeah, Rogers in Canada won't give out any unlock code at all. Lucky you guys in US.

I just bought a sony ericsson w580 from ebay. Its locked to at&t. However I use T-mobile.. If i call the at&t and aske them to unlock my cell phone, what do you thing, does it work?
