Is there reliable sources to unlock this other than Davinci? I've came across some sites that claims they can unlock this by sending them the IMEI and they will provide the unlock code. Is this trustworthy?

IMHO i wouldnt EVER send anyone my IMEI number, Iv used davinci to unlock my W580i and it all went smoothly, although it is a bit expensive. Have you tried contacting AT&T for the unlock codes.

I am pretty sure that Rogers (up here in Canada) wouldn't give out any unlock code for the phones. There are some guys locally claimed that they can unlock it for $50, cheaper than Davinci but the guy doesn't strike me with confidence :)

Debranding (flashing a different firmware) does NOT unlock the phone. I debranded mine and it's not able to use a non-rogers sim card. Debranding allow people to access some "missing" components of the software (like MP3 ringtone) and use a different language.

When it comes to expensive hardware always stick to a name you know like davinci, at least there is support if you do brick your phone.

    Isn't AT&T providing free unlocking?
