I want to upgrade FW but the EROM color of my phone is Brown... Help!

How can i change the EROM color from brown to red? what software should i use? i'm still a newbie in this customizations thing, i tried FAR once but unfortunately i didn't understand the interface, so i tried XS++ but when tried it it shows that my phone color is brown.

The FW that i like to upgrade to is only available in red so i assume that i need to convert the EROM color to red but i don't know how.

How can i upgrade the EROM using patch?

If I'm not wrong, patching your phone to RED can be done by using GDFSEdit software and a GDFS patch file that is included with it to convert Brown to Red. After that is done, you can use XS++ to flash your firmware... search the SE-NSE forums for this patch or try searching this forum for it may still exist somewhere. Please dont forget to back up your GDFS before trying to patch anything. Hope this helps, I already sold my w800 so it's but a memory now...
