there is no anti virus program for java based phones because they cant have viruses..

Exactly. So don't worry. You can't get an virus. The fact that your phone is java based is your antivirus :p

but beware of applications few malicious application if you install them will send messages at mid night or can make calls at random time in night so only install java applications which you know that they will do only the purpose for which they are made....

This is not quite true, because exists a few java viruses even for J2ME enabled phones(ex. RedBrowser.A), not to mention the computers:D.

For BARANI72:
If you do not applied the remove_java_restriction patch(or installed the Halmer certificate) then don't worry. The midlets cannot do anything "bad" without your approval.

Java based phone are virus-prof for now. I didn`t hear that anyone had a virus on his java-based phone.

Afaik your Phone could only Carry viruses by having them on the Phone memory or memory stick in things such as Pictures,Themes...e.t.c

exactly, so make sure the desktop PC ur using is free from viruses and fully updated with the latest antivirus and then start accessing & cleaning your memorystick via USB cable or the memory card reader. :D
