    Also i believe wootan has original carrier firmware. So if for whatever the price they charge, you can just do it through them. Its better than buying a new phone~

    also make sure you have your contacts you recently added save to sim so they dont erase when flashing just incase. my txt msgs get deleted aswell (i guess everything not on mem card gets deleted?)

    You can use x++. I assume what you are talking about is the gdfs? If you use xs++ you can back up the gdfs.

    I took the plunge and went ahead and flashed the phone. It works :D I used XS++ and it worked like a charm.

    I think he's refering to the complete firmware rather than just the gdfs. I couldn't find any option to backup the whole thing using x++ .....

    gdfs is only around 50kb, it shouldnot contain the FS information.
