Question Backup original AT&T firmware for W580i

Hi everyone! I am about to flash my W580i that I purchased from AT&T. Before I do this I want to backup the AT&T firmware, files, and settings so I can revert it back to the original AT&T state. This is just in case I ever need to service the phone, because I heard flashing the firmware will void the warranty. Does anyone know of a software that will do this for me? I'd appreciate any help at all. :)

I think it's impossible to read the firmware from the phone.. it's only possible to write.

so in this situation right now, i need to rebrand it, but i don't have the firmware and it's look like that the rogers firmware for the w580 is still not available.. i hope it will be soon :-(

Setool lite will do the backup provided you have start range and length values. While backing up tick the ssw checkbox

How do I figure out what the start range and length value is?

@ Kurofox23: I'll try SEUS and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion.

Also i believe wootan has original carrier firmware. So if for whatever the price they charge, you can just do it through them. Its better than buying a new phone~

also make sure you have your contacts you recently added save to sim so they dont erase when flashing just incase. my txt msgs get deleted aswell (i guess everything not on mem card gets deleted?)

You can use x++. I assume what you are talking about is the gdfs? If you use xs++ you can back up the gdfs.

I took the plunge and went ahead and flashed the phone. It works :D I used XS++ and it worked like a charm.

I think he's refering to the complete firmware rather than just the gdfs. I couldn't find any option to backup the whole thing using x++ .....
