i unlcoked my w580i
used xs++ 2.0
used firmwares
used a w550 custom pack and everything worked fine so far
later ill get a w580i custom pack when ill be able to download it

do you even know the difference between unlock and debrand?? you can't unlock the phone with just flashing the FS and MAIN you have to access and alter the GDFS which is completely not related to the FS and MAIN

Ok, so is there any way to unlock the w580i without coffing up any cash. We just switched to AT&T and got 2 free w580i's with our new contract. We have a couple of moto's from our old T-Mobile service which I unlocked, debranded, and modded to the max over and over. I am beginning to think that it was a mistake going with w580i's as from what I have seen, as of yet, they can't be unlocked without ponying up some dough??

Nope...not yet... Maybe in several months...There's not even a free patch for k800(which is cid 51) yet, so no chance for w580i(cid 52) in the following months...

calling your operator is not really a cheap thing to do if you want your phone unlocked, at least in europe. they will charge you anyways...
