I am trying to use Far following the guide my phone is a W580i and it's a RED CID53 does anybody know whether it is possible...I keep getting Script fs_mode execution error! Error Code 0 dialog box when I click on FS it reads something onto the screen but almost instantaneously flicks to the error dialog box Anybody got any solutions?:rolleyes:

Sorry for the noob question, but what does the xml generator do? Does it some how make the files you uploaded to the computer a readable file or something like that? Because when you get to step 18 it tells you to go directly to step 33. None of the steps link you to step 19 with the xml generator so what am i exactly supposed to do w/ that and what does it even do?

Also, when you do step #17 and copy the files to some place on your computer do you HAVE to follow step 18 and shut off your phone? And after you do shut off/restart your phone, nothing happens to the files you copied right? So all the files that you saved from step #17 is like your backup files right? So why do you change the files with xml generator to put the same files you saved on your computer -step 17-, which are already in the phone, back into the phone? Sorry for these questions, i'm just a very cautious person. I want to flash my phone, but i want to have a back-up plan just in case it doesn't work out so i'm not left with a bricked phone.

xml generator generates xml file which tells the phone to upload internal file system file to phone memory.

furthermore, what is the usage of Far manager? is it to bypass security in the phone so that we can new patches or language files to the phone? Cant we just do that using SEtool or XS etc...?
