So. if I understand this tuto well, in order to steal some stuff off the phone internalFS, I have to do the custom_upgrade stuff? and then and only then I will be able to get my stuff?

it is a bit hard to do... I want to backup the ams folder ( I think it contacind the Hava Stuff.
I also wanto to backupthe Words I have typed into t9, I mean the new words unknown to t he phone dictionary, I think these words are stored in a file wdb.t9 somewhere on /tpa/.../language/

I want to upgrade mmy k800 to k810 and want to have everything safe.

Can I use XS++ to restore the files back to the phone after I have upgraded? I dont like playing with far very much.

WTF!! Why is this soooo complex? Is there not a tool that works in Windows (ie. not DOS!!) and lets you drag and drop files to and from your phone like you would drag n drop with a USB thumb drive?

i keep getting plugin call error message "exception address 0x76FB42EB in module...Far/Plugins/SEFP/sefp.dll. Plugin will be unloaded!"

i re-unrared the plugins, patch, etc. Im still getting same message. Any ideas?

PS may w810i was just sent to me from cingular brand new as a replacement. its a red cid50, but have they possibly changed something else to block FAR?

seriously doubt that. try getting far and sefp from a different source. clear out the old one, and start fresh. worked for me (i had a similar problem using jdflasher plugin with far, and this solved it.)
