    XS++ doesn't support brown - only special version of PhoneXS can support it ;)

    What's wrong with letting everyone able to sign their own certificates(whats that mean by the way?) As long as you don't lose your phone to someone else, it would be ok, right? Or can people access your phone remotely and hack it?

    @Wally

    Is it possible to remotely hack a SE phone without the user approving access explicitly (like when we need to approve a bluetoooth connection)?

    why you want to install halmer when you can download your main and patch it with remove java restriction patch. It Easy bro. Once you patch it, you can flash it to your phone and all your java app will act like it is signed. No question for permission again

    I think that some caution is needed if removing java restriction.

    Please tell us how you did it. I have a Knoppix based installation at home but I do not use it much. Would like to know how to sign apps on your own. There is a nice TextReader application which I would like to sign so that it doesnot ask for the read/write permissions every time it browses a folder level.
    I have made my own certificate to. Here are some tutorials:
    1. HOWTO Build, Sign and Install MIDlets Build and install Singed MIDlet: http://browndrf.blogspot.com/2006/06...ed-midlet.html
    (when you generate your certificate, instead of "openssl genrsa -des3 -out ca.key 4096"you need the "openssl genrsa -des3 -out ca.key 2048" command. Upload the certificate as explained in this thread)
    2. MIDlet jar signing (a tutorial) Revised David Hayes: http://www.spindriftpages.net/blog/d...orial-revised/
    (Written for Nokia phones, but is useful for SE to)
