K800i modding

Hi guys im new to this forum and topic... let me share my experience.

I bought a new K800i phone from dubai. I am living in India. It was an Orange branded phone. I first played with accoustic files and changed it using xs++ so that sound increased. Also my CID 51 was updated to CID 52. Then i thought of updating my firmware. I used sony ericsson update service to update my phone. everything went fine and update was success. but my phone got sim locked:(. It now says Insert correct sim:confused:. Any advice to me????? Please dear friends tell me a solution... How can i unlock it? What is the concept of patch unlocking??? please reply please........

whi dont u try to get the generic firmware and redlash ur phone
p.s. use setool to idenitfy ur phone and find the correct firmware to it

Thanks for you reply .... But could you please tell me in detail.... Also please tell me from where can i download these files.... What is setool . where can i get it???? Thank you for your kind advice once again

You cannot unlock by flashing only, and you have another problem, Your flash CID is 52 but your OTP CID is still 51 so you will have to pay for unlock, no patching possible.

well u can download from download section...but u have to stay here 2 months and have 20 posts or pay x eur for download access :P
u can use setool or xs++(recomended)
or try:Under Construction iProTebe.cz to download xs++(recomended) or setool

basicly u need thease infos:
CDA:
Firmware Version:
EROM CID:
EROM COLOR:
Platform:
witch can be obtained trough xs++(at start) or setool(by pressing identify button)

Look in download section, but first you must have 20 usefull posts and 2 month registration or you pay for download access.

The original FS and main u can find easily in the web ( use google and u will have them in ca.30minutes ;-) )

I would try reflashing the phone with the Generic main. XS++ v3 should be able to do the job well. I've had too much trouble with SEUS to even consider using it anymore. By the way, had you removed the sim card during the flash. When guys had started modding their k800s, I'd read of guys having a similar problem when there sim was in the phone.
