    Its hardware.
    i think you're right.

to others: maybe nokia 6233 can take video of VGA resolution, but are photos any good?
samsung d-820 can record CIF size video, but has 1.3 mpx photos. what is your point anyway? if you have big res of photos, you must have big res on video? se just went for cheaper solution... don't you think k800 would be able to record CIF video with factory settings if it was possible...

but, the hardware CAN process a 3MPX photo, but not a CIF stream? The photo is almost 10x bigger, and it's saved in a short period of time. So, why can't we record 320x240 video, cos, i'm sure that the SOFTWARE is fault on this, cos, even with 10 FPS, you record at CIF.
Hope we could solve this with a patch or something.

it is not a matter of processing and saving photos. it's problem with capturing video - the video recording hardware is the problem.
if you could patch the phone to record CIF size video, don't you think that factory would do that, and they could sell it more expensive ;)

Sorry for posting in other thread, but: is it real to rise the standard 176x144 resolution on K750i ? (maybe camdriver editing, huh? )

It's not possible to rise the resolution of the phone's camera, because it's limited by the its hardware. But you could use another camdriver that has a higher FPS.
