    w810i Advice

    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to ask some advice for another hardware issue my w810i is starting to pick up.

The USB/charger/earbud port is starting to get a little sketchy.

I have to fiddle a little to get it to charge or connect to my pc. Is there anything I can do to extend the life of the port? Maybe a cleaning solution that's out there... or another way to help it live longer?

I've included a picture of the port for visual reference... i know the quality is crap but its not in the worst shape... i cant really see too much dirt

No other way. If it get corrotion, or bad contact, all you need is a sharp needle. scratch it gently.

Isn't that really bad for it?

I was scared to try the sharp needle thing, but I used some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. The q-tip had a slight amount of dirt on it after, but the connection is about 500 times better.

It's almost like when I bought it brand new!

    So yeah rubbing alcohol FTW!
