Removing the message in the name of the operator. I have a w600i and remove the message going on:
    > Messages> settings> Info Area> Info unit and disabling.

When cool off and the unit have to do all this again.
This procedure works in w600i reported above?

this DOES indeed work on k800, and very well too I might add. I remember reading last night that some other layout mod aimed at achieving the same goal resulted in notes being displayed on main screen with TINY fonts that are barely readable. Good work my friend!
Has anybody else found a problem with their phone after applyin this?

I have only tested K800 and W660, no problem with either one. However I tried using same script (w660) for Z710 and it did not work.

So as it stands now, we have scripts for operator network logo removal for:

    -K800
    -K790
    -K550
    -W660

Here is W880, removes the operator logo and if you set clock to 24hr and large it moves to middle top where operator text was, if you leave it small there is a blank space at top.

Just flash the zipped tpa file straight into the misc using tool2lite

    try script for k550/w660
if it does not work, try script for w880
if it does not work then go back to original and wait until someone posts one.

K610- here you are, it is not a zip, it will remove operator text for you, YOU MUST RENAME FILE TO XML.

    just as a info ...

you can also edit the provider name (if you want), so you don't have to delete it. because if you do so and you will travel abroad, then you will not know which provider you are using there!!!... so I think it is much better to write a patch to change the common provider you use (if you want to delete, then use space-characters), you will see the change, when using other providers (e.g. abroad). For that you have to change the firmware ... there exist a lot of guides to do that ... using a patch.

One comment! it is not working for some providers like o2-Germany (, which I am using right now) ... because some providers are not using the firmware to show provider name, instead of that they use the sim-card (in Germany thats the only provider, which is doing so (as far as I know)).

provider name is directly related to your sim card, not the phone. what were doing here is removing the lines of TEXT that are being displayed by firmware.
operator name you cannot edit as its simcard dependent.
