yes it works on both.
tested on my w580 and it works.
practically the phones are the same, only the housings are different. (s500 lacks the accelerometer and the radio)

it look almost same, but the nightmode is better.
Why you should make it better and more different from the original camdriver?
I'll upload the video to youtube, if I have time.

thanks man, works WAY better than the default one. a bit buggy, when i change to nightmode, i need to restart the camera, and vice versa. Nightmode works much better, but with more exposure time (as you wrote). Haven't tried this in daylight yet, will upload pics with default driver and this driver tomorrow if i wake up early enough.

Changes to Camdriver v3.7 for s500i and w580
- Lowered ISO to 50 instead of 80 and 110
- Higher exposure times in night mode, keep your hand and object you are photographing as still as possible
- 100% compression ( means 100% no compression for JPEG )
- Minimal scaling from 97% to 100% compression
- Updated buffer for all resolution

How to
- Upload driver file to ifs/settings/camera
- To upload, use XS++ or FarManager
