deleting files in FS without FAR

    Hey guys,

I've been playing around with my phone such as adding new languages. i've found a way to add them without FAR manager. (i'm still too scared to get into FAR)

However, i was wondering if there's a way to delete files in the FS without using FAR.

Furthermore, do i still need to load a "dummy" (ssw) firmware to the phone before accessing it with FAR + SEFP? If so, where can i find one for k790 r6bc002?

Yes you need a "dummy" firmware to access the phone via FAR.
If everything did correctly, no worries.
If messed Up, try SEUS first. ;)

"dummy firmware" how Goonx called it is the MAIN, which is included in SEFP ;)

okay, i did it without far, but i'm not sure if it will work for any other languages other than chinese. Furthermore, my phone can't use chinese for menus.

    So first-off, here's what i've accomplish:

    Support for Chinese-font display.

    First-off read:
how to add languages to your phone - Top Sony Forums

    Great guide!

You also have to reflash your whole phone using my method. I can't guarantee that it will work because i JUST started play around with my phone.

this is how i did it.
    1) created a "tpa/preset/system/language" in XS++ "files_to_copy" folder
    2) added chinese lng files (in your case phantom13, you need to add spanish lng and .t9 files which i believe are sp.lng and sp.t9) in that folder
    3) I opened up my cuspack, (hong kong) and edited the customize.xml files in the "tpa/preset/custom" folder

adding the lines according to the guide above.

<allowed-language>zh</allowed-language> ..... etc for the languages you want to add

(on a side-note here, you can also add the suppressing camera command here)

    4) reflashed the whole phone with main and fs and finally my edited custpack

Furthermore, i've deleted the lng.dat and lng.lst files using setoolite + delfile script. However, the chinese language was not added and the other languages were also unusable except for english, so i don't recommend deleting it.

On a final note here, i think the problem with my method is the "allowed_language.txt" part. Since i'm not using FAR, i can't edit those files.

Good to hear, Can you use spanish for typing as well as the menu?

Did you need to delete the lng.dat and lng.lst for it to work?
