    SEMC Flash Device

When i connect my phone (W580i) pressing the C button, Windows shows this message, saying that was an error "unfixable" (don´t know the word in english). Anyway, i can´t even try to choose the driver from a .inf file, that the XP doesn´t recognize the phone.

    Anyone has any ideas?

    Thanks

    Thumbs up Fixed

Thanks for the file, but the problem was not with Far Manager, was with USB device recognition. Anyway, fixed it right away after formatting the HD...:D

    WOW!! sadistic solution.
Actually you can it find out first via UBS view tool, then determind the vid/pid, and find the correct driver.

The tool referred to can be found at
USB troubleshooting click the usbview.exe link to download the tool.

When you plug the cable in then right click My COmputer / Porperties /Hardware/ Device Manager/ then Ports - find your device - if not could be shown under Unknown Device '?'.
When found double click to open, click Details tab, The drop down box should say Device Instance ID, and the information you need is shown in the box below, (so copy it manually into notepad for reference).

If you download a driver off the web, open the .INF file by right click / edit or something.
do a find on the VID word, then see if the same VID / PID numbers are present in the driver, if not you need to find a later or different driver.
    Hope this helps
