Well, since o2 doesn't (according to you) brand their phones, you did not need to modify the firmware in any way. Since it was already generic, Flash Menus were enabled by default, allowing the process to be very easy for you. Unfortunately for me (W810i Cingular Branded (debranded now) ) Cingular adds a WHOLE lot of protection to ensure you don't get flash menus... they add a DisableFlashDesktop.xml to disable them if the customize.xml is modiified, and then their customize.xml and FS both do not support flash menus... so the whole phone must be overhauled in my situation.
