sorry i am new to all this. iput it in this one (Top Sony Forums > Firmware Flashing & Unlocking > Phone XS / XC / XS++ / GFlash > XS++ 2.x Guide ) has to which i thought it will cover my problem.

if i flash my k550 red52 with xs++ v2.2 then i would be able to customize(finalize) it?

I think you need to choose K800 in "Phone Model" if you want to customize K550 with XS++ . I'm not 100% sure. You can flash it with SeTool2Lite. It supports K550 but you need a custpack.

my phone is on Orange UK, if I flashed it with setool with the GENERIC firmware, would it be debranded? sorry, im new to SE's :(

You cannot flash DB3150 phones for free at the moment. You need to wait the next release of XS++.
