Hi,
I flashed my k550 to w610 main... everything worked well... my files are still intack... then i flashed again to w610 FS and custom pack for w610... everything worked well... except that all my files and phone book contacts are gone.... thank god i have a back-up... does this mean that everytime i flash FS and custom packs my files and contacts will be erased.... I am planning to re-flash it to k550 FS and custom pack... will my files and contacts be erased again?

Yes. You'll lose all that everytime you flash your phone. I use MyPhonExplorer to backup the contacts and the organizer, it's very easy.

I have a question, what is the difference between flashing and unlocking? for unlocking, what changes is made into the handphone? because for debranding, we only flash with other FS and main, right? but for unlocking, what is changed?
because i just buy k810i orange, and i plan to unlock it when i go back to my home country. but i read that it is not possible right now..

I have a W610i CID Brown49, does that mean i HAVE TO upgrade to CID52 in order to flash my phone with another language firmware?

Yor phone is brown, so you wold need to convert to red then download fs, and custum file and flash it to change languge. Originally Posted by chingsta_mc
