K790a question regarding flashing

i have a k790a and im with rogers which means that they have prevented me from setting my own songs as ringtones
is there any possible way i can change it so i can put my own songs as ringtones WITHOUT flashing my phone?

I don't think there as this kind of option is usually tied to the firmware and what the operator wants, Vodafone UK are the same.

it's the custpack that restricts this. u can edit the customize.xml

Or may be there is some restrictions on your phone. I know that operators can create their own firmware and block some actions.

No, i don't think there's any easier way to remove that restriction other than flashing it.

you can try cutting the mp3 with audio editing programs or make it a WAV file. In the version i had, i could set WAV files as my ringtone.

If you edit the customization file, i think it's safer to just flash the phone.
