    K800 Flashing - A few questions

    Hey there. I was wondering if I could ask a few questions before I go ahead with it. I've got all the files and programs in place ready to go but Im new to this so yeah..forgive me if its quite stupid questions. So here goes:
    1. I've already unlocked the phone but if I flash it, will it relock the phone?
    2. Is flashing risky? What may happen if I do it incorrectly.

    I plan to use the DCU60 + K800_R1GB001_FS_EUROPE_2_RED49 & K800_R1GB001_MAIN_GENERIC_RED49 and XS++.

    Cheers

    R1GB001 is very old .
    Use SEUS and update to last version R1KG001.

    1.)If your phone was unlocked by "patch" your phone is still locked again via SEUS (CID=52) or flashing again...

    2.) Usually not, you can use different flasher ...

    tikel, use the search button on this site. There's plenty of tutoritals around. se-nse also have a few guides there.

    1) It depends on the method that was used to unlock it. However, flashing it with a firmware and FS, usually won't disable the unlock. The unlock is in the GDFS area.

    2) Yes, messing with your phone is risky business. you may "brick" your phone, meaning it will be unusable. If you're not too sure about what you're doing, don't do it. Safest way is to cough-up some money and bring it to a cellphone shop or do it with wotan or davinci. However, if you read all the tutorials and do a lot of research here, you can debrand it for free (at your own risk). It's usually a success and the process of debranding isn't too hard.

    With seus you cannt debrand your phone.
    For flashing you need main firmware, filesystem (FS), and custum pack to custumise your phone.
    Be aware, if you wont to have certain languge, then your FS and custum most be a match.
    Beside the flash files you need praogram to flash, XS or setoollite, and important thing is the CID of your phone wich you can read with xs.
