    SE Theft Deterrant available?

Hey, I just had my (less than) 1 month old K810 stolen 2 days ago at school. There's nothing I can do about it now, but I want to take this as a lesson, and do something about it for my next phone.

I'm planning on picking up the K850 when it becomes available, and I'm guessing that it's NOT going to have a password-lock for the phone itself.

So, does anyone know of any theft-deterrant java software, maybe that might tell me/someone if someone replaces the SIM card on my phone (if they steal it)?

You have your IMEI address on the box that comes with your phone.Go to your network provider and tell em that it has bin stolen. They will track it by the IMEI adn if you have luck they will bring it back to you.(i am saying luck because sometimes they don't give a damn about this things).

they also can block it so it won't work, with any SIM, and as I know it's hard and expensive to change the IMEI, if it is even posible for K810i. So if they can't track it down then at least nobody will use it ;)
about your SIM, go back to your operator, they will disable that SIM and give you another with your old number, I think there is a fee that must be paid.

    Thanks.

I actually called Customer Service a few hours after my phone disappeared (after I got home from class and had access to a phone), and luckily, the person who took my phone hadn't used my phone for internet or long distance. I ended up having to buy a new SIM card ($25), and my room-mate had an extra phone lying around that I'm now using. It's nothing fancy, but at least I have a phone now.

Unfortunately, the company couldn't do anything. I brought up the issue that IMEI numbers are connected to a phone number everytime someone makes a call, but they said that they couldn't do anything. I know in reality that they just don't give a crap though.

Whoever has my phone must be real happy.....

Oh well, I'm over it. I'm excited for the K850 now!
