radio without handfree patch - doubt

I have read that the handfree acts as an antenna. So how can we patch our phone. Will it work. Has anybody tried? Some feedback would be greatly appreciated.:)

u r wright ur radio starts without handsfree but worst reception signals your phone recieves. I have already applied this in india, dont know much about other contries their radio signals may be good.

it does not work with my w700i, when i select radio it still asks me to attach my headset

I don't think it is a good idea at all. Even if I do not like using wired handsfree :-(
The radio signal must be miserable.

My radio reception is sometimes miserable even with handsfree kit, so I can't imagine the result without :p

all models' patches r different.. it works but signal quality is so poor !

i tried patching my w700i but the patch does not seem to work

I tried the patch on W800i. The patch works, but i can't receive any stations. I only get noise.
