Converting my k550 to w610...

I've flashed mine and couple of others from topsony did and it works just fine!


For me it's definitely worth it, flash menus are great and sound is super! (I use Walkman a lot).
The only downside is the camera cover that is not active, but you get used to it and I hope there will be a patch to fix it soon :)
After you're 1 month old on forum and 20 posts, you'll be able to download all you need from download section/firmware/w610 and custpach/w610.

Thanks. What is this i keep hearing about the camera problems though? The camera quality and photodj dont change right? All that happens is that when pulling down the lens cover the camera doesnt automatically start anymore right?

I never used photoDJ, so I can't tell, but as I said, nothing different about camera since turning k550 to w610.

Yes, and pushing the camera button will start camera even if the cover is closed, but I think it was in k550 firmware as well.

Don't warry, if you do everything right, you'll be able to roll back to k550 anytime you wish to, if you will not like the way w610 firmware is.
