    Question newbie needs help

    Hello!

Recently, I bought w810i. While I was reading some reviews I saw that it has flash menus, later I found out that this is the case if the phone is unbranded, i.e. it has generic firmware. On my phone there aren't flash menus, so I suppose it's branded. How can I find out what firmware version do I have, and is it generic or not? And what CID number of this phone is? Is there any secret code, like *#0000# in Nokia?

I would like to flash my phone, but I don't know is it too dangerous. I saw here on TopSony firmware download. In case for my phone, there are R4EK001_RED49 and R4EK001_RED50, what's the difference (I can't download them yet, I don't have enough privileges)?

Sorry for all these dumb questions (and all in the future), but I had to ask, I'm new to these stuff.

    Tnanks in advance!!!

XS++ will give you all info that you need (Version of Firmware, CID). Then if you know that info you must flash proper files to phone. For CID49 R4EK001_RED49 for cid 50 R4EK001_RED50 etc. :)

I haven't heard that the W810 has CID50 version.I thought that its only CID49.BTW if you tell me you where you live i could upload the generic FW for your phone.Thats how you will unbrand it.

connect your phone to XS++, turned off and pressing C, let it read the info and then post the log file so we can help you with more info
or connect it to setool, press Identify and follow intructions, when phone got identified the disconnect and post log.
