Sony Ericsson w660i walkman (How to increase the Volume? )

Great little phone but the mp3 player is very quiet, probably due to EU noise/health restrictions. A friend had a sony walkman and he got round this by turning the noise limiter off, somehow he got into the services menu. Does anyone know how i can do this with my phone, i can't hear anything when i'm thundering along on the tube.....

Ny help or suggestions appreciated :D

I'm sure something can be done about it, ipods and sony walkmans can all be hacked to make them louder so lets hope the same can be done with this phone....

all you need to do is flash new drivers and you can make it louder first u need to know if your phone uses apf or zapf then you will know what drivers to use. you might wanna check out se-nse.net Im sure you'll find what your looking for.

Nice one..... How do i work out whether its apf or zapf? Looked on SE-NSE but couldn't find the info :( I am very wary of updating these drivers as i don't want to bugger my phone up.....

Have found that you can access the service menu by doing this:

    >*<<*<*

You can alter the earphone volume but i can't work out how to save the settings, anyone know how to?
