can I de-brand my k800i

I have a question.my phone is locked to 3 and i want to de brand it .3 said i can only do it after i've unlocked it then i have to contact SE so the can give me the software to de-branding the phone. but if it's possible after ive unlocked it it must be possible before. little help plz i want to now if there is risks involved

first, you must unlock your phone. you can contact 3, they will help you. It may be free or may cost money. then you can use XS++1.6.8 to flash your phone into any firmware you like.

Can you not update it from sony site with their non branded firmware??? I have the same phone and it is non branded. Wonder if the firmware for mine would work with yours or would it bark and say its not compatable??

guys, you're asking the questions that had been answered about million of times already on this forum, just you "Search"!
You can debrand your phone by flashing it with unbranded firmware.
Unlocking is much more complicated and I'm not sure if it's possible to do it "at home" for free.
Davinchi will unlock your phone for money. (the price you can check on there web site)

try to flash with generic cid52 and europe or asian FS

it's right becouse vodafone brandings can also be in the main and in the FS.
Flash it with the generic Main file and unbranded Europe FS with the same CID;)
