    Question M2 on K800 Problem

    I bought a 1GB M2 Sony for my K800 (geniune one).
The phone sometime doesn`t recognize that the memory is inserted. I mean after working with memo. for a period of time, phone loose it`s contact with it, showing this message: "memo is not inserted" and sometimes reinserting the memo, is not helpful. You need to shutdown and turn the phone on again.

    Has anybody expericed it yet?
Is this a firmware problem or hardware one?

I`m having this version on the phone: R1JG001

Bad contact maybe? I have unplugged my m2 and back, and a few times the phone did not find the m2. Then i just push it in and out sometimes to make good contact again. And voila.

As I know master reset sets the factory default for theme, ringtone, contrast and other things like that. I`d be pleased if you could explain more about the relation between trying master reset and my problem

Yeah I agree this might be contact problem. It might be difficult to clean contact on such a small memory though. I think you may also try to format the M2 on computer first then reformat it again using your phone before using it.

Idk. If cleaning the contacts nor resetting the phone solves the problem, try a different card. If the slot still doesn't work, then you have a faulty slot that needs to be repaired.
