How much? and Easy to use?

Hi im new to all this but have read up on most of the stuff. I am wanting to put w610i firmware on my k550i (which is currently branded to t-mobile:mad:).
If i put w610i firmware on my phone will it become debranded? Also how much will it cost and is it fairly easy to do?

if you are willing to spend the time to research and actually flash the phone it shouldnt cost you anything. and difficulty is all relative to your skill/experience, if youve never flashed a phone before itll be quite hard your first time. to debrand you need to flash the GDFS *correct me if im wrong* and debrand from there, its not related to the firmware

Just buy a log (6 Euros) and flash your phone in simplest and fatest way.

I done it Wotan before. I'd recommend them! It's as simple as opening the client application, enter your login details, press start (it will detect your phone CID), choose W610 instead of K550 and then choose appropriate firmware (or leave as the default!) and press flash! ~15 mins later you will have a a phone with nice flash menus and all the bells and whistles! For customisation choose a generic CDA!

Ok but surely if i choose a generic w610i firmware it will become debranded at the same time? And how do i go about using totalmulti server i have only read upon davinci and wotan.

You'll need to flash FS and then customise with a generic pack to debrand it :) Wotan is prob the easiest for that but if you prefer to do it free there are ways :) What CID is your phone 51 or 52? Mine is 52...it was 51 but I converted with Wotan because all of the newer firmware is 52...

it is 51, so quite unlucky for me. But im sure they'l be a cid51 w610 firmware i can use?
And i do wish to so it for free, what tools should i use?

There is R1JD001 firmware for CID51....SeTool Lite 2 is probably going to be the easiest to use and it also has a feature to back up the GDFS, which is the first thing that you should do....just in case something goes wrong! Maybe we should move this to a different section since it's not about Wotan anymore??

Ok, thanks for the help i guess ill just wait untill i can access the sites downloads section. Just one question anyone...Will my phone become debranded aswell as being a w610?
