Freeing as much phone memory advantageous?

just wanna ask. K750/w800 has 34MB of phone memory right? does freeing up as much phone memory gives advatange on the phone? like maybe faster loading, faster response etc etc etc? coz i was used to move all stuffs from phone to memory card as possible.

yes, yes it is advantageous, the phone 34m memory somewhat acts like RAM for a pc...if you load it with too much data, load times for the phone and menus will slow as well as reaction times from the menu/camera storage...even the memory stick is like that, the more data it stores the longer it takes to load

csart is right. I've removed a lot of unneeded stuff from my phone and moved some things to the card. I now have a very nice working W800i with almost 32MB free :-P

The answer probably would be that it is not the ammount of data but number of files involved. Like on classic computers - the best visible and can be easily checked: try to burn one CD with just one file on it - a movie perhaps and other CD with loads of little files - the difference in loading those two CDs will be immense. The difference on the phone is not so much evident because the access speed is higher but the principle is the same.

i that if you would have a card of 2gb with a lot of files then it would probably slow down the speed of your phone
