Problems with VKP patches for K750i R1BD001

Hi I got a K750i with the latest firmware R1DB001 officially updated by my operator.

I tried downloading some patches from mobilefree that where made specifically for the K750i R1DB001. When I tried applying them using FAR + SEFP it kept saying "data mismatch"! I tried all of them and none worked. Has anybody else tried these vkp patches and got it to work or is it something wrong with the patces themselves?

Some more info about my phone:
K750i, R1DB001, Red 36, all original Vodafone branded Europe Nordic.

Would be very glad if someone could sort this out.

    Regards
    Daniel

    PS. I new here :)

First of all... HOW do you applying patches? Step by step please. I'll try to help.
(I think you do something wrong...)

I don't mind the warranty cause I got the phone from a friend for around 50 bucks :)

I think I figured it out myself, I flashed my phone with the W800 R1BC002 firmware and tried the patches for that firmware and everything worked out.

My theory is that the Vodafone branded firmware I had was what caused the problems. If someone has the K750 R1DB001 unbranded firmware and could confirm this it would be nice.

But as far as I'm concerned it's working for me now, and I got rid of those annoying vodafone menues :)

PS. I used FAR+SEFP and connected the phone and went into flash. Then I highlighted memory and dragged and dropped the vkp-patches and the window popped up about installing a vkp-patch. I pressed ok and it did some checking and then a red window popped up saying "Data mismatch". So I think I did it right cause I read alot of guides and followed them step by step. So it has to be the vodafone-branded firmware that's different.

You absolutely right, branded phones has different firmware, therefore some patches can work.

btw, just a question abt ckp patches, are there diff patches for CID36 and CID49?
can the CID49 phone patches be used for CID36 phones?
and can the CID36 phone patches be used for CID49 phones?
or are they all the same and they will work with whichever CID?

it usually says mismatch when the patch is not the correct one for your main firmware. you need to find versions ported to your phone FW or reflash your main file
